I got a notice from New York State the other day informing me that I have to provide sexual harassment training - does anyone have a good online webinar they have found? It needs to be an interactive session like a PE PDH it seems (i.e the ability to ask questions real time).

The phrase "sexual harassment training" always makes me think "they" are in favor of sexual harassment and will train you to be a more effective harasser.[smile] It should be "sexual harassment prevention training" or similar.

In high school I worked in an electronics supply store. One day, during a slow period, the Assistant Manager and I were shooting the breeze and he told me that his wife (a junior college teacher) was teaching a class on child abuse. I asked him, "Is she for it or against it?" After he got over his dear-in-the-headlights look, he started laughing. He said later that he told his wife of our conversation and she laughed too, then decided to change the name of her class to better reflect her "against" stance.

Not sure about online webinars, but our company provides monthly safety reviews on different topics including sexual harassment (prevention) from the National Safety Compliance. The link below has some of the material you can purchase.

I really want to click on Tick's link, but dare not to at work. [ponder]

Tick's youtube link is for the South Park 'Sexual Harassment Panda' song. Even without earbuds it's not that bad.

BTW, our training on the subject was through Think Tank.

If you are offended by the things I say, imagine the stuff I hold back.

Casseopeia,
Thanks I did look at it at home, the sound quality wasn't there, had a hard time hearing the lyrics.
Turned out to be anticlimatic for me.
Someone like it, and gave Mr. Tick a star.

Maybe you should attend the Clinton school of sexual harassment. Apparently, according to Hillary, it can't be sexual harassment if both people are of age.

Yes, I think the Clinton and Weinstein schools are equivalent.

I should think that Hillary is preparing a new webinar : "how-can-your-husband's-sexual-harassment-become-a-boost-in-your-career".

Apart from that, it seems that the Western world does have a lot spare time to waste on politically correct BS.

Part of the reason this type of training continues to be needed is because people continue to disrespect women and think this is all a big joke, just they they think bullying is a big joke. Force majeure is no longer a thing.

glass99 - was the notice from NYSDOT? They have a requirement that anyone working on a DOT contract has to take the same training as DOT employees every year; sexual harassment, safety, etc. If your notice wasn't from DOT perhaps the agency will accept the DOT training. I'll look on the DOT web site to see if I can find the link. It's free and it doesn't take long. If I can't find it I'll ask at work next week because we do it around this time every year.

Bridgebuster thanks: no its not NJDOT, but good to know what's acceptable for them.

(Sorry everyone I disappeared. My spam filter was blocking notifications from eng-tips. Grrr)
