Hi all
I was told that #/SF=#/LF when analyzing a section of concrete. For example the dead load was 150#/SF and they said if you take a linear section of it, it will convert to 150#/LF. Then you can plug 150#/LF into your bending moment equation.
Is this correct? If so could anyone give me a detailed explanation why or why not, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
