shear connection

i have steel cantilever beam with simply supported beam back up. Column is continuous. i will have moment connection at one end as shown. if i will get upward load at the other end then how to design that connection. To design beam i will consider appropriate unbraced length.

Not to be rude, but you have posted a lot of fairly basic questions in the last little bit which may be better answered in your design office. Do you have someone in your office who can mentor you on your projects? Again I'm not trying to be rude but this forum is only good for so much and it seems like you could benefit from some more help from someone who can walk you through the design.

Yep, pretty basic. An upwards shear connection is designed the same way as a downward shear connection.
