Dear colleagues,
I have an old building with deteriorating slab (corroded rebars), so we decide to remove all concrete slabs (panel by panel) from three story building (bearing brick-wall system)
Renovation will be
- demolition of existing slab
- open holes [30x50 cm ] on bearing Brick-walls for new concrete beams
- opening will be spaced @ 2m
- new top slab will be completely supported by beams
- beams will be supported by the old brick-walls
- bearing point will be cement grouted & seat of steel plate

attached approach was proposed to solve the construction problem;
Any other ideas (are most appreciated) ???

I can't open the link.

The structural solution sounds OK but there is clearly a massive temporary stability issue with removing all the floors.

George,
i did similar building (old house) before
we did used jacking system, similar to concrete floor formwork support
- starting with first story [slab demolition], install floor support to 2nd floor roof
- these supports will be in vertical and horizontal directions
- in horizontal direction we use bolted anchors through brick-wall with drilled plate (to prevent wall buckling laterally)
...
-do you think concrete beams are more critical to support concrete slab ?
(because of limited support width 240 mm & old brick-wall are not trustworthy)

-composite steel deck slab with IPE beam going through interior wall ? is it better solution ?
(but much expensive due to bolted connection in both bays )
