2006 IBC p450 for 19/32" sheathing, 10d 4"oc, 12" field, floor or roof strength 510plf, mult by 1.4 for wall for 714plf.
What if the sheathing is 3/4" thkness, what is the nailing requirements and strength? Thx.

One place to look is at ICC report ESR-1539, it is from ISANTA. It have a lot of values for different horizontal diaphragms and shear walls.

I haven't seen higher capacities with thicker than 5/8".. I believe anything thicker than that the fasteners and the embedment of the nails in to the supporting member drive the shear capacity.... But hey, prove me wrong!

What I was taught jives with what TDIengineer said.

The sheathing thickness increase doesn't give an increased capacity. In fact, you actually need to make sure your nails can still achieve the proper penetration into the supporting framing to avoid reducing the allowable loads.

I've just used 12d nails at the same spacing for 3/4" sheathing with the same shear values as the 5/8. Never seen anything for higher values...
