Sheet Templates vs. Drawing Templates

I see documentation and discussions on both sheet templates and drawing templates and I see their respective pax files, but I can not find a discussion on what the difference is between the two. Can anyone explain to me the difference between sheet templates and drawing templates?

File -> new -> drawing tab will create a new file based on an existing drawing template. Insert -> sheet -> use template will insert a sheet template into your existing drawing file.

The first sheet of a multi-sheet drawing usually (but not always) has more information in the title block than the following sheets.

At my company (your former) the drawing template has the parts list in it but the sheet template does not. That is the main difference between our templates.
