Hello!

I've a question concerning the use of shell elements. I'm carrying out a model with this type of elements and 5 integration points through the thickness. I have plotted both the plasic strain and von nMises stress. But where are they calculated? Are the values plotted average values on the 5 integration points?

Thank you for your answer

They should be values of wherever you have them plotted...which layer have you specified?

I've have plotted the values on each layer and I have plotted the "global value" of the whole shell. The global value is inferior to all the values of the layers... Does somebody know why?
