Hello ,

i have a very simple probem to model.you can see the attachement.
I can do it in 3d without problem ,but in shell ELEMENT when i select shell edge i have this message: "regions must contain only free shell edges".I partitioned the model correctly.

Any suggestions to solve the problem ?

Thank you

You're applying a load on a line and not on an edge so it has no area. You could partition it to create an area on the disc, or alternatively extrude the circle normal to the plane and apply the load to that edge. You'd still be applying the load to an area though albeit over a line.

First of all, thank you for your answer. I'm glad it was you who responds.
But even if partition it i can't apply the load.If i extrude a little circle it 'll not change the results 'cause i'm working on shell ?

Thank you
