Shell Forces - F11, V12??

Hi,

I am trying to distinguish my shear forces from my vertical forces in a shear/bearing wall for a building. I can't really find a clear distinction anywhere about which 'resultant forces' correlate to shich direction within the wall. There are also 'shell stresses' too, should I be using those?
