I've been tasked with constructing a temporary shotcrete wall for construction phasing. Basically because we do not have the required right of way for 1 phase of a building project we need to construct a 10' tall temporary retaining wall at the edge of the property. After several weeks of work is completed this wall will be "swiss cheesed" and buried. I've visited with several subcontractors that specialize in underground pool construction, and they seem to be fairly knowledgable on what's required, but I'd really like to have some simple calcs to double check them. Any ideas on where to start looking? It is extremely critical that this wall have no problems as it will provide the only access to the site beside it.
And in case any of you were wondering I am an excavation contractor, not an engineer.
