Hello all,

I am new to NX and am working through some training materials. Since I've installed it it was running really slow basically taking about 10 seconds for each command to finish. It was really slow, and today I was in the sketch environment and turned on "show all constraints" and it sped up to a normal speed. Whenever I open a part if I don't do this it stays really slow.

Does anyone know of a setting or any bug that is associated with this type of behavior? I would appreciate any help you may be able to provide me with!

Also I've been trying to get a good copy of NX 64 bit from Siemens website through the webkey download system and every time I get the 2gb installation zip file I unzip it, and the data1.cab file is corrupted. I've redownloaded it 4 or 5 times but still the same issue. Anyone else having this issue, or know of a workaround?

I'm using NX 7.5 (32 Bit) on Windows 7 (64 bit) 12gb ram on an Intel quad core Xeon @ 2.67ghz if any of this info is needed.

Thank you!

Never heard of before.
Is your computer on the Siemens certified list ?

Does your NX session recognize the graphics card ?
To check, go in NX Help -NX logfile and search for "Nvidia" if you run an Nvidia card. If it recognizes the card there will be details regarding the card reported. If not it will instead state "GDI Generic".
If, the card isn't recognized, it's ( for some reason...) fairly common that there is no 3D driver installed.

And, do try to download and install the 64 bit version. It alone might help.

Regards
Tomas
