Showing dims created in FT&A workbench

I have a part where I have used the FT&A workbench to apply dimensions, datums, and geometric tolerance. Now I'd like to show that information in the drawing. When I use the "Generate Dimensions" icon in the drawing I only get the raw dimensions used to construct the model. How do I show the FT&A information I've put in the 3D model?

Thanks...

I think I just figured it out. Create the drawing view using "View from 3D".

However, now I have a question. If I use FT&A workbench to apply the dimensions and such to the model I can violate the engineering intent I've modeled into my features. Yes, I know the FT&A is driven by the features, but I don't necessarily have to dimension a hole from the same surfaces it was modeled from. I don't really like that ability.

Comments?

I guess it still takes a skilled, experienced operator (like yourself) who know what he's doing.

jackk,

Do they build things that fly where you work? If so I'd like to talk to you.

I've gotten most of my FTA experience while I was working with the designers of the 787 airplane. That was a few years ago, and I've since moved on to other assignements that don't involve things that fly. So, what do you want to talk about?

jackk,

If you're still at the airplane factory I wanted to discuss techniques I could do in Pro/E that I'm have a hard time doing in V5.

I'm sure you have a long list! Maybe we can meet at a COE event sometime in the future and we can discuss your list over a beer or two.
