Showing limited hidden lines

I want to only show a few hidden lines in a relatively complex part. Using View Dependent Edit to remove all the unwanted hidden lines is too cumbersome and leads to more work after future revisions to the model. Checking 'Referenced Edges Only' gets me closer, but there are still some edges I want shown which won't have dimensions on them and thus don't show up in the view.

Is there a way to select only the hidden edges you want shown?

Thanks Jerry. I had viewed those posts and didn't get where I needed to go. I just got off the phone with NX and here is the solution they gave me.

First make hidden lines visible and change their font to something other than dashed, I used dotted.
Then use View Dependent Edit 'Edit entire object'. Set the line font to dashed and click apply.
After clicking apply you select the lines you want visible and click OK.
Once you've selected the lines you want you go back into the view settings and make hidden lines invisible.

Lo and behold the lines you changed the font on stay dashed and visible while everything else goes invisible.

It's unfortunate that you need to sort of trick the software, but the result is what I was looking for.

yes, that's they way I do it
buried in one of those links is that method

For me instead of making it dotted (like you do) I make it a funky color that really stands out
