hello
I have tried to introduce a initial stress profile with a subroutine Sigini. For a static step its work. the same subroutine not work for a dynamic temp-disp explicit step. Does the subroutine Sigini can be used in this type of step? please help me.

SIGINI works only for Abaqus/Standard.

A dynamic step implies Abaqus/Explicit is used.

In fact the User Subroutine Reference Manual distinguishes between the subroutines for Standard and for Explicit.

A solution is to import the material state after using Standard as initial state in a new model having a dynamic step.

"*DYNAMIC" can also be used in Standard - it is the dynamic transient solver used for implicit calculations. "*DYNAMIC, explicit" specifies that the explicit solver is used. I have used SIGINI within Standard before with no problems but it needs to be initialised in a static step (*STATIC) prior to the dynamic (*DYNAMIC) solve.

Thanks for all reply
In a first model, I use Johnson Cook plasticity and it can be used only in explicit step.

When i use *initial state to import material state in a second model just stress, strain or temperature can be imported. Any idea for transferring both stresses, strains and temperatures from a dynamic temp-disp explicit model to another dynamic temp-disp explicit model.
