Can anyone refer me to a supplier for silicon steel strip? I am interested in making a circular shape approximately 2 inches in diameter at a minimum of 40K per year quantities. We have tested .013 inch thick M19 silicon steel material with success. I have not found anyone who sells material in the quantities we desire.

Thanks!

Thanks EdStainless! I will check them out.

Tempel is one of the biggest stampers in the US. There are dozens of big ones, hundreds of small ones.
If you plan to fab this yourself you need to talk to steel mills or thier designated distributors.

The best case would be to find a supplier who can supply us the stamped out part made from silicon steel. But if we can find a source for the material, we can refer our stamping suppliers to them. BTW, it is possible that these parts will end up as part of an assembly that is built in the Far East. A supplier from that part of the world would be ideal.
I have heard anecdotally that the silicon steel suppliers don't like to deal with small quantities like those I have described. Has anyone else had experience with a similar situation?
