Hi

I am looking to source a simple mechanical valve which allows condensation to drain from the base of a 1500x800x500mm steel enclosure, but prevents the enclosure 'breathing', i.e. large air exchange with surroundings. The surroundings will be at 100%Rh for long periods, with the enclosure temp being both above and below the ambient temp.

I initially thought of making a caged floating ball located on a 'ball seat', but am hoping to buy in instead.

Can anybody suggest an appropriate device, or alternative path?

Thanks in advance,
Robin Edwards

Hi Robin, why not try a simple "U Trap" ? Wont that do?

The enclosure won't be air-tight, however it won't 'open' either.

The U trap could be a goer - I may have to change the outline of the enclosure, but this might be acceptable.

Thanks!
Robin
