Hello,

I have worked with the simple method model for determining annual pollutant load in the past. Now I'm tasked with doing it again, but I was given this source for the model formula:

formula is on the second page of that PDF, as best as I can tell. The thing about this one is that there's no formula specific to sediment, just for bacteria. It looks consistent with what I've used in the past, but the conversion factor of "1.03*10-3" confuses me. Do they mean 7.21? Is that for bacteria specifically? If so, what should it be for sediment, if any?

If someone could pass along the formula they use for the simple method model, it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

- smm

I've always wondered the same thing, actually. The graph on page 3 of your link says "Schuler 1987." Maybe start there.
