Simple power electronic device for SRM's 1

Right all you brains out there!!

For a college progect I'm looking to build a low cost power electronic device which will drive a 3-Phase Switch reluctance motor. Can anyone sugest any suitable modular parts that could be used to save me time in 'building' such a device?
