I am using a Structural Insulated Panel as a ceiling and am wanting to check my design. I am going to treat the SIP as a stress-panel and transform the PUR core to OSB for my design checks but I am having trouble tracking down the parameters that I need for my calculation.
I am trying to find out the properties of PUR, the material that is used for the core of Structural Insulated panels. I have tracked down the compressive, tensile and flexural strengths of PUR in a Canadian Code but I also need shear and elasticity.
Would anyone be able to point me to where I may find this information, please? I will also be needing similar information for dense polystyrene.
What sort of glue would be used to bond the core to OSB. I think it is a polyurethane adhesive that is painted on and cured.
Any information would be appreciated.
Regards
