I'm trying to size a blower for a fume collection application. What I need is a reasonable assumption/guess for entrance velocity (CFM) for such an application. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah...we don't anticipate there being much fumes. I don't even know a good estimate on what we expect. I just want a reasonable sized blower that can get rid of a very small amount of fumes. We have a 4-inch line into the HVAC.

try putting this in the hvac section

Also we need a bit more info

what fumes are they?

whats the process?

Could a small hood be put over the source of contamination?

Is the processs in a large room or a small room etc

yeah, i was thinking about that, but didn't think it was necessarily an HVAC item.

what fumes are they?
UF6

whats the process?
potential for UF6 escape when making connections. we don't anticipate a whole lot of vapors.

no

Is the processs in a large room or a small room etc
