I am working on NX5.0.0.25 with .dwg files from Autocad. The views are not to scale and I need to add dimensions. I am having some trouble 'inputting' the dimensions on the drawing. What is the best way to get the dimensions onto the drawing in this case?
Thanks.

If you know the scaling factor, you could use Edit>Transform to make the drawing to scale.

Failing that, you can insert the dimensions as usual and use Edit>Annotation>Text to manually input the proper values.

I know some software allows you to add a dimension scaling factor, but if it exists in NX, it is pretty well hidden.

You can dimension the drawing with the incorrect values and then manually overwrite those values with the known values.

The order that you select things is very important when you do this to get the desired results:

1.)Place your Dimensions.
2.)Now reselect the dimension by left clicking on it.
3.)Left click the annotation editor icon.
4.)Left click on your dimension again.

The dimension value will show in the editor now and you can edit it. It give you a warning when you override the number.
