Sketch Looses focus on workpart when creating new sketch in assembly

Hi All,

Using NX1892.

I add a new empty component to an assembly. Then make that component as workpart. When I click on Sketch Task Environment, try to select one of the face of the component as XY datum plane, the sketch looses focus on workpart and creates the sketch in main assembly level. This is happening on one particular user system. We cleared the cache ( delete NX1872 folder). Still does the same thing.

Has anyone seen this issue and any resolution for this?

Do you have the ability to WAVE link the face of the existing component into your new part ?
