Sketcher: Inferred Constraints 2

Does anyone know how to turn off the inferred constraints in sketcher?
Here is my whine:
When I create a sketch line or try to drag a line, the sketcher program wants to associate the line with everything in sight. Very frustrating. Occasionally a constraint will be automatically created without my noticing it. Then the sketch becomes overconstrained because of an inferred constraint that I didn't want.
I went to customer defaults and unchecked inferred constraints. The result is that the program still wants to create constraints on lines, curves, etc., but when I trim 2 lines, it doesn't create a coincident constraint. So, the useful constraints are gone, but the annoying ones remain.
Does anyone out there share my frustration?

Yeah you want to disable some or all of the inferred constraints. This can be done by clicking the Inferred Constraints icon on the Sketch Constraints toolbar It has a lightning bolt and perpendicular constraint see image below.

This will bring up the infer constraints settings dialog I've included a link to what this looks like below. The picture in the link shows all the settings disabled.

If you're new to NX or are used to the old sketcher you might not know this option was there especially if you are using a default role in the newer NX versions.

In NX 4 we have also added a toggle (the icon is located next to and looks similar to the 'Inferred Constraint' icon shown in the previous post) which will turn OFF all inferred constraints, period.

But if you're not looking for something THAT drastic, if you just hold down the 'Alt' key (and this works in pre-NX 4 versions) while you're dragging your cursor when creating sketch curves, the system will ignore any inferred constraints while it's being held down.
