I would like to lock my sketch in the x,y plane while in sketch mode.

There is a way to lock out Tilt/Spin/Roll while using the spaceball in sketch mode, this allows the user to zoom in and out of the sketch with no rotation.

Once out of sketch mode the session (spaceball) defaults back to pan/zoom/tilt/spin.

How do I configure the system for this mode?

TCE2005 SR1 / NX 4.0.4.2
3Dconnexion R3.6.7 )Driver 6.6.1) SpaceNav

The "2" key on the spaceball/puck is usaully the default to lock between pan and rotate. set the view to the sketch plane. Then press the the "2" key on the space ball. That will usaully help.

My 3D Connexion Control Panel (windows) has check-boxes to set Tilt/Spin/Roll, the NX 3D Connexion toolbar also brings up an option and NX Customer Defaults, Gateway, General, 3D Input Device tab also has options (NX 5.0.5.3). My Spaceball 5000 does not seem to integrate well after changing some settings, so just try and see.
