Sketching in drafting and using driving dimensions to position sketch lines

I am running NX8 and I am trying to position a sketch line at an angle off of a face of a cylinder (see attached). I went into the style menu of the view and under the general tab changed the extracted edges option to associative. I can grab the edge of the cylinder shown in the view and use a driving dimension to position the endpoint of the line at a certain distance. However, when I try to put in an angular dimension to position the line at an angle from the cylinder face, I am unable to select the extracted edge to put in that value. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks.

Extracting the edges won't help since the 'end' of the Cylinder is extracted as an Arc. What you need to do is to add a line that can be referenced when creating your Angle dimension, as shown in the attached video clip.
