Good evening
I have an assignment to design a slab on grade supported on short columns with height of 1 meter
is it right to design it like flat slab or it has another approach?!
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an unusual configuration. Perhaps a more detailed description can be provided.

If the slab on grade is supported by the columns (piles?) rather than the grade itself then, yes, it is appropriate to design it like a flat, suspended slab. If you have expansive soils or frost heave issue, be sure to account for upwards pressure.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

the OP is confusing. Is it a deck supported by columns or is a slab constructed on the grade of the earth?

That's no picture of a completed job. Missing is the information s to what these individual shallow footings sit on. Rock? What is the explanation for the combination slab-on-grade and footings?
