We are using SAMBA and AIX 4.3.3 for storage of our V5 parts and V4 models. The problem I'm having is when we save a product with V5.10 using NT/XP platform on a unix server, (I'm also using DLnames). Then I try to open the product with V5.10 on the AIX platform, it can not find the V4 models used to make up the product because the path slashes are going the opposite way .The models are in different directories also. I have also tested with Services for Unix with the same results. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

We too have this Samba and AIX setup and do not have any
problems with the path slashes when using V5R10 with DLnames.
Make sure that the /usr/local/lib/smb.conf file
has the correct path mapping to the UNIX directories.
Also the DLnames allows both PC and UNIX path mapping to
exist in the one setting. We are using both UNIX and PC's
for CATIA V5 with no problems.
Can you be more specific with whats wrong.
