when do you use slides in making a part removeable from a mold? and how do you design an insert for attachments?

When you have an undercut that is to big to jump the moulding over, but not so big that a slide cannot cover the distance in the opening stroke.

If the depth of the undercut is to big, you might need hydraulic side cores
