looking for recommended maximum slope change over given distance for a crest to prevent industrial truck support jacks or under carrage from hanging up. site distance is not an issue. low speed on-site semi and ash hauling trucks. search so far on internet and aashto has not provided sufficient information.

building a bridge over a pipe rack with severely limited approach and departure, 5 feet 7 feet down with 25 foot long bridge platform built with vertical curve incorporated in deck. 6% up and 6% down. need to define how long curve needs to be to prevent bottoming out.

respectfully submitted.

Take a look at the construction of portable scales at gravel pits etc. They usually are constructed above grade.

Measure typical vehicles and develop templates, either in CAD or on paper. Then use the templates to design a profile. This will be a good thing to do even if you somebody provides a design criteria.

You could also contact your local dock equipment companies like Kelly Co. and Paul Reilly Co. who know the dimensional clearance requirements for various trucks.
