Slower surface area generation time from NX2-NX4 solution?

Simple surfaces that can be generated in mere seconds using NX2 are taking upwards of a minute to re-generate in NX4. I'm talking about the exact same surface and tool. Is there some sort of collision check turned on by default or assistant mode I need to turn off? Our production in the programming dept. is slower as a result.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like this is a CAM type of question?
Is this to do with machining the Surfaces?

My only thought is that NX4 could be outputting higher degree surfaces than NX2 did either due to the way it's programmed or more likely the customer defaults need looking at. This would be when the parts are actually being modelled.
If you used to receive degree 3 surfaces and now receive degree 5 could this make the machining slower?
Just a hunch.

I am having the same problem generating tool paths in nx4...I have also noticed even the selection of faces seems to be slower. The only thing I have been able to do is loosen up the tolerances when possible. Wish I could offer more help, if I find anything else, I'll be sure to post it. I could use some help with this problem too.

I had this same problem. Once we downloaded an updated graphics driver from GTAC the performance improved dramaticaly.

I should have been more specific. It is a manufacturing issue, and I guess I need to call the GTAC and see if they have any options for me to explore.
