Does anybody else have performance issues when using smarteam and a cad program. We can open a file that is on our network without smarteam being connected, it takes 2 minutes. With smarteam connected, it takes 35 minutes. It's consistant across most of our machines. Also, what is the LSASS.EXE file and why does it keep running when I open a file with smarteam connected?

Oops ... missed the second part.

Note: lsass.exe also relates to the Windang.worm, irc.ratsou.b, Webus.B, MyDoom.L, Randex.AR, Nimos.worm which spread via floppy disk drives, mass-mailing and peer-to-peer sharing. Please review file path for clarification of this.

I found that information, but if it is a valid process, why is it running, and what effect does it have on smarteam network communications?

Have you checked the filepath? Do a search for lsass.exe

Delete any lsass.exe files NOT in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder.

I do not know the specifics of how it affects network activity.
