NFPA 92B "Standard for Smoke Management Systems in Malls, Atria, and Large Spaces" ASHRAE & Society of Fire Protection Engineers "Design of Smoke Management Systems" I don't think it's something you'll find that can be boiled down to a thumbrule (e.g., 1 cfm per ft2, etc.).
