Hi,

I want to model a Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) case in MatLab. Basically i want to model a 1-D solid mechanics case using SPH method, whereby a rod is held at one end and impacted at the other.

I have calculated the kernel and density in MatLab but am lost after that. Can anyone please help? I can't get my head around the time integration.

Has anyone got an example 1-D Matlab Code?

Many thanks

Presuming this is not a school problem, you would probably get more results in forum575.
