Snow Combination

Hi there,

When I create a Snow type load in the "load pattern" section, I afterward go on the "load combination" section and click on "Add Default Design Combos", but it seems that none of the combos include the snow load.

My first hypothesis would be that the Americain Code do not have any combo with the snow load as it calculates the snow with another type of load.

I am using the Canadian Code (NBCC) and some of the combinations include snow, like 1,25D + 1,5L + 0,5S or 0,9D + 1,4W + 0,5S

Is there a way I can include the snow load in the combination by default or I have to enter all of them by myself?

Hi,

U are right. he doesn't include the snow in the load combinations. u can create the default load combinations and then modify it to include the snow load case.
ACI includes in the load combinations the snow but Etabs doesn't recognize it.
