Hello

I want to make a snubber circuit for protection of armature of DC motor. This is connected to a Simoreg drive of Siemens. The Peak Voltage is 565 Volts.

how do I calculate it?

Judging from the voltage your application seems to be in the high power range. So I'm afraid nbucska's link won't be very helpful.

Usually the the drives rectifier includes some kind of snubbers and other means of overvoltage protection to protect its own semiconductors. This is usually sufficient to protect other parts of the system as well. If you are asking for an additional snubber to protect the motor there must be a special reason. Please explain your concern more exactly and supply more information, e.g. current rating.

Thenominal Voltage is 90-100Volts
The nominal current is at 15A approximately

You should not use that motor with that Simoreg drive without modification !

Use a step down transformer in fron of the Simoreg drive so that the DC output voltage matches the motor voltage. The drives manual should contain more information on that topic.

Otherwise you will have poor power factor and poor current ripple.
