The commies are coming for your powerplant. Judging by the Australian experience where prices increase, profits increase, and grid reliability falls, as we introduce unfeasible energy sources, the People's Republic of Maine may have a good idea.
But one gently wonders how much the state will have to pay to buy the current operators out.
In Australia the energy companies are making a killing by closing coal power stations early, which frightens the state governments, so they get subsidised to keep them going.
