hi to all First time user,
question, most of these cars plc, or locally made, do any know what type of software program these automaker used, eg Rochwell, Omron

In the 90s, Ford was using a custom version of the Intel 8096 for an ECU, with custom software that has been mostly disassembled. You can find the software and the ECU schematics and port maps on the net.

I think most of them use microprocessors like that, not PLCs, and most of them add custom instructions, perhaps to obfuscate the binaries, perhaps out of pure hubris, least likely to meet some real need that the generic chip can't meet.

You can also find some of the partially redacted Toyota source code that was submitted for NASA review. Since NASA was not given access to the toolchain and not permitted to check the source against binaries, I tend to doubt that the submitted code is the real source, or even close to it.

I.e., I suggest studying the older Ford ECU. You can even find books to help you. I have no idea what they're using for body computers, but Google may be able to help there.
