Hi!
I'm a new memeber in this forum. I'm a PhD student and I'm working about soil dynamic analysis. I'm using a finite element- based software.
To conduct a dynamic analysis, the software demands two inputs which are: the the RAYLEIGH-DAMPING and the earthquake frequency.
My problem consists in how can I choose the two parameters and what difference between Rayleigh damping and damping ratio determined from small strain study of my soil?
I'm pressed in time and I didn't find some documents about this issues;

Can someone help me.thanks in advance
cordially
