Hi everyone,

I'm simulating Pipeline by customer demand of HDPE, diam 32".
This HDPE pipeline have few anchor, and most of it's resting on the ground and has only one soil cover.

I Attached an image of the soil cover, for better understood (
I am simulating this soil cover by placing every 1 meter a vertical support to simulate bottom soil, plus a guide for side soil. Both with soil stiffness.

My question is how to calculate the most accurate stiffness of soil cover, which is not compacted ?

Maybe you have a more correct suggestion to perform this simulation.

Thank in advance!.

Hi

If you are using CII, you need to model soil interaction on your pipe by "Underground Pipe Modeler" once you complete the AG / UG piping route, modeler request some geotechnical info that Civil can provide for you. For more info read through CII help file.
