We own a 20,000 sqf building (roof size), on which we are interested in laying solar panels. These panels are formed of thin layers of nylon sheets with solar cells on them and they become part of the roofing and water proofing.
The technology is new and may be cost effective, depending on the amount of rebates and insentives we will receive from the local Government.
My question is, if anyone out there has practically tried this approach, and what are the practical pros and cons. It may sound to be a good idea on paper, but I'm looking for real people with real problems or praises for this new technology.
Thanks.
