Hello all,
I want to design a Solenoid for a new project and I am looking for a good reference book/text book on magnetism. I have a current design and want to back out the magnetic force required. Does anyone know a good electromagnetism book? I have seen a few examples on the web and they all seem to contradict each other. I would appreciate any help please.

Ferromagnetism by Richard Bozorth is pretty much the standard. I was able to buy a used one on Amazon.

I think so, just a slightly different edition. The ISBN numbers are different but how many 900+ page books can one guy write? The preface in mine says it "is background knowledge that has been useful to various members of the Bell Telephone Laboratories".
