Solid edge cannot access file

Have a Solid Edge problem, cannot access file

Have used SE for some time, however, some time ago a problem occured.
Open a drawing.
Make a modification
If I want to save I get a message: Cannot access file.
After closing the file without saving, the file is gone!!!!!
Since I have backup of all files nothing is gone but I cant use the program anymore!!

Anyone knows about this???

Are you working over a glitchy network connection - that can wreak havoc.

What version of SW, what operating system etc. and maybe someone can give you a better answer.

Nice to get a reply, I am not so good at computers and my problem indeed a very disturbing problem.
I run Win7, SE version I beileve is V 100 ( how do I see that )?
Not working over network connection.

Yesterday I went into SE options, file location and cklicked on reset all ( file locations )
Must admit I dont really know what I am doing however I opened a drawing, made some modifications to this drawing and could successfully save!!!!

I am alittle busy at the moment but will in a few days try again, more this time to see if ok.
I just went into SE options, file location again but now reset is not active meaning I cant reset.
It may be that everything is ok but disturbing not to understand what is happening.

I can mail again when I have tried SE a little more.

No solution to my problem. I in short, its like this.

Run SE ST
Win 7
No network connection

I open a drawing, work on it for a short time, suddenly I get following message: Cannot access file.
I cannot save and when closing file the only thing left is a TMP file!!!! Meaning the original file is gone!!!!!

Have cleaned computer, temporary files etc, no good.
I did install McAfee some time ago, is it possible this can cause the problem.

Any tips highly appreciated.

Sounds like your anti-virus may be tagging the Solid Edge files and removing them.

Indeed it does. I just removed McAffe and installed free version of AGV.
Have been working on SE for approx one hour, no problems!!! Before I could make 1-5 modifications on a drawing and then......Cannot access file
and file was gone.
Now, no problem, hope it stays that way. Thanks for tips.
