Hi very new to the site.
I'm getting ready to have an .asm printed in 3D
So I've converted my .asm to a .step file and an .iges, then opened it as a .par, and finally into a .stl file for printing.... problem is when they go to print the part my weld gaps etc. will cause problems to print as one part. So in the .par file I want to fill in the weld gaps .. struggling.. (still learning on ST3).. Any thoughts would help.

Have your designer turn the assembly into a solid part, otherwise you will get a group of loose parts if this is a weldment.

Thank you BILLPSU. You are correct, when printed it will print as many parts as opposed to one unit. But that's the problem lol.. I am that guy and a bit new to ST3, I have brought the assy into .par and I have my weld gaps etc. question is how to join the pcs, tried a few things, just not seeing it or how to search this subject. any thoughts

Try the Solid Edge forum forum562 sadly I'm still on an older version of SE so am not sure of the best way.

Sorry, perhaps I was unclear.

My point was you should have posted over there instead of here.
