Hey Folks
I have a solid body that sits on a shell surface. There is a force acting on the shell from below it that will cause everything to deflect.
From what I understand, I can use MD Nastran or Marc to use the in-built contact bodies options. However, I am more inclined to use Linear Static MSC Nastran as I believe my license options are limited. Therefore, they use of gap elements bewteen the contact surfaces is recommended. Feel free to correct me on any of the above.
How can I ensure the mesh of the surface will match that of the solid body in the contact area? They projected profile is quite complex and does not lend itself to straightfordward mesh seeding.
Thank you
