Our local dealer is pushing quite hard for us to change from CamWorks to SolidCam.

We are not all that happy with Camworks although we have got to the stage where we can do useful programming with it.
I can't find any independent reviews of SolidCam and am reluctant to recommend a change.

Is anyone using SolidCam?

Can anyone guess why our dealer is pushing for us to change?

Thanks

Dave

Quite a few companies (including ours) are switching to Esprit, you might want to check it out before making a decision.

I'm pretty sure they have a 30 trial...

Check it out at:

One of the VAR's in our area (not our VAR, but we might be switching) sells both programs and a few more, I believe.

I've used TekSoft CAM as a stand alone and IMHO it's right in line with MasterCAM. SolidCAM seems to new to the US market. Just my 2 cents worth
