Solidworks 2010 - defining areas on a part

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to separate a defined area of a surface from the rest of that surface (as far as textures, etc. go). Basically, I'd like to assign a texture to my part and assign a different texture to specified areas on the surface.

I recall this feature existing in earlier versions of Solidworks, but I haven't been able to find any trace of it in the 2010 version. Online searches haven't turned up anything helpful.
