I was working on a part in SW2015 and made a change in the length of an extruded section. After getting out of the sketch, the part visually disappeared.

I tried to undo and it would not. As I move my mouse over the tree, I can see outlines of the part - I just cant visually see it. I didn't change any display states.

Any ideas on how to get it back? I tried changing color in visualizations - it did not work

If I go to any item on the tree and edit it, just the feature for that item becomes visible, but when you close edit , it again disappears.

Doing a roll back even to the first item in the tree does not make the part appear

We have seen similar issues without a resolution. It seems to be a graphics refresh issue. If you close the part and reopen it does it come back? Ours do.

You may have created mutibodies by cutting extrusion.

Check whether you see "Solid Bodies" on the tree.

You may, by accident, "hide" those bodies. Then, it behaves like the way described.

I had this same problem all the time. The only solution I have found was to close out the file and reopen it. I have seen something similar to this within an assembly, except the model is visually there, but I cannot select a face from within the graphics area. I think both issues are a graphics driver problem, however no one has been able to determine the cause or the solution. I seen this a lot in 2015. Just went to 2016 and already had the assembly issue I listed above happen.

I have had this problem in the past. Try clicking on a feature in the tree and set to visible/show. I am not sure what made the problem go away completely other than service packs or upgrading.

I've also seen this behavior a couple of times, if a rebuild doesn't work usually closing and reopening does the trick. In worst cases I had to reboot.

I had this problem when SW decided that pressing the tab key would be great for hiding parts. [dazed]
