Does anyone know what harm will solution annealing of 347H welds at 1900F do vs. at 2050F?

I don't see any harm with the increase in temperature. In fact, for certain grades of austenitic stainless steel, Grades 347H and 321H, ASME B&PV Code, Section I, Table PG-19 allows up to 150 deg F above the minimum solution treatment temperature of 2000 deg F.

owenmaterials;
I see that I misunderstood your OP. Sorry about that. The lower temperature (1900 deg F) is not advisable for these Grades because you will not completely dissolve all of the carbon and associated precipitates in solution from fabrication (welding). So, you need to go to at least 2000 deg F.

Good catch met, I didn't want to have to straighten you out.

The good thing about the high temp anneals is that the times are fairly short. Make sure that you clean well first.

If 1900F solution annealing has already done, will re-solution annealing at higher temperature, say 2100F, fully restore the material's creep strength?
