I'm getting an Rebuild error message when attempting to Drag and drop a library image of a flange. How can the routing library be reloaded.(If that's the solution)
looks like the library part has errors. rather than dragging it into assembly, right click and open it. see if there are any features that are failing. fix and save.
Thank you for your reply Mitsu50. I have opened the part but am not familiar enough with the design to correct it. Is it possible to access this part and reload it?
Thanks Misu50 your'e a gentleman. Its version 2010. Slip on flange in the routing/piping library.
The funny thing is all the other sizes apart from the 12" configuration seem to work.
I tried to analyse the faulty part but couldn't rebuild so thanks again.
the dimension sketch in the Flange feature in the tree didnt have its name:
Outside Diameter of Flange O@Flange Diameter in the sketch. that info comes from the design table and that info is what drives the features in the flange. Basically the sketch was named:
D2@Flange Diameter which is default. since all other features have the right name they update properly, this feature stayed the same size, hence creating a disjoint part. this might be a bit confusing, but have a look at the design table you'll see what i mean.
THanks Misu50 I'll have a look at that when I get a minute.
I was thinking it would be be really useful if there was such a facility where forum members could 'share screen' even if there was a small charge to cover peoples time I'm sure people would pay to get over hurdles that can take a lot of time to work out.
For example i was trying to incorporate a pump in a route and couldnt work out if it was possible.
Hi Mitsu50 you make it sound so easy. But when I try things just don't line up or they refuse to move, or I don't get a merge option or there's always 'conflict' yellow and red labels appearing on the property manager. Things don't budge but there's no 'float' option. I might just give up and use the
Engineering PLUGIN with Google Sketchup. What do you think? I spent £190 with SW professor but
found the $40 with Video-tutorials much better. Yet still its taking too long. Could you demonstrate on Skype how to piece together a sequence of Flange, pipe, elbow, pipe, elbow, reducer, pipe, flange, pump, flange, reducer (dont understand how to make a reducer an enlarge either). You may hit the jackpot and find your self earning thousands giving live demonstrations of SW around the globe. : )
If you can show me the above sequence let me know a time and I'll send my skype address which is grains and 21 together.
yeah i can do a skype. we'd have to work out a time. I'm no pro with routing thats for sure, but i have managed to get some good results. Are u using all the standard SW routing pieces or do u have your own stuff u want to use? i cant post my email here not sure how we can connect.... u have a website with an email addy?
