Hi,
I'm working on an assignment that requires I evaluate maximum stress in a plate under uni-axial tension. The plate has a number of holes in it. While the plate outer dimensions are constant, the plate thickness and hole locations change - in total there are 27 configurations of plate thickness and hole placement.
What I'm trying to do is set the problem up parametrically to minimise the amount of repetition involved. I've created a Solidworks model of my plate which has plate thickness and hole placement as two named dimensions. I've created a 'static structural' Analysis system for each plate, and have linked the dimensional data and geometry for each problem. I can set the plate dimensions parametrically, but at present I have to go into Model/Mechanical for each system and there individually configure the loads, solutions, mesh optimisation and so on. Since these are the same for each system I'd really like to be able somehow copy the set-up from one system to the next, or configure them parametrically, but I can't find a way of doing this.
So I guess my question is, is there a way of doing this, or any other way of streamlining the problem set up?
I've attached a picture of my Workbench setup to try and clarify how things are at the moment.
Any suggestions or pointers are gratefully received.
Thanks,
Luke
